Shopify Preflight Tools

Shopify Preflight Tools is a collection of five focused, offline review tools for Shopify merchants, agencies, migration operators, and bookkeepers. The collection is designed for risky file-based changes that are often checked manually in spreadsheets immediately before an import, theme update, migration, or month-end reconciliation.

## What the collection does

Each module compares files that the operator already has and produces a deterministic report before any live action is taken. Product CSV Change Preview compares a current Shopify product export with a proposed Product CSV. Customer CSV Change Preview focuses on candidate customer creations, matches, conflicts, duplicates, changed fields, and consent-related differences. Theme Update Change Preview compares two theme ZIP files and reports added, removed, or changed files alongside conservative signals for templates, section schemas, settings, app blocks, locales, and custom code. Migration Integrity Preflight cross-checks supported migration exports for duplicate identifiers, ambiguous references, and inconsistent relationships. Payout Reconciliation Preflight compares official Shopify Payments exports and separates candidate matches, exceptions, and ambiguous rows.

## Privacy and operating model

The tools run locally in the buyer's browser. Files are not uploaded to a vendor server, there is no Shopify connection, and no store, bank, QuickBooks, Xero, or Matrixify credentials are requested. The public website contains synthetic demonstrations only. The complete analyzers are delivered as English offline ZIP files through Gumroad after purchase.

The reports deliberately avoid claiming that an import is safe. A finding can be documented, inferred, ambiguous, or outside the available files. Missing data stays missing instead of being silently converted into a reassuring result. The tools do not import, repair, merge, deploy, reconcile accounting entries, or modify a Shopify store.

## Who it is for

The collection is most useful to operators who already know how to export Shopify data but want a bounded second pass before a consequential action. An agency can review candidate product and variant changes before a bulk import. A merchant can inspect customer matching and consent differences without sending customer files to another service. A theme developer can identify files and settings that need manual migration. A migration operator can review cross-file integrity, while a bookkeeper can inspect payout exceptions without granting application permissions.

## Pricing and limitations

The Product, Customer, and Theme modules cost $19 each as one-time purchases. Migration Integrity and Payout Reconciliation cost $29 each. There is no subscription. Buyers should review the synthetic examples and explicit boundaries before purchasing.

The main limitation is intentional: these are preflight reports, not connected Shopify apps. They cannot observe data that is absent from the supplied exports, predict undocumented importer behavior, guarantee a theme update, or provide accounting, tax, compliance, fraud, or legal conclusions. Large or unusual files may still require manual investigation and a proper staging, backup, or rollback process.

## Why it is different

The collection is narrower than a full migration platform or store-connected application. It is aimed at one-off reviews where the operator wants no recurring subscription and does not want to grant store permissions or upload operational files. Every module has its own synthetic report, exact input contract, and documented limits, so buyers can assess the output before choosing a paid ZIP.
