ExportDou

ExportDou is a focused web product for one practical job: turning public Douyin comment sections into structured data that can be reviewed, filtered, and analyzed. The product is designed for content operators, e-commerce teams, creators, agencies, market researchers, developers, and AI agents that need more than a handful of comments copied by hand.

Why ExportDou exists

Useful customer language often appears in comments before it reaches a survey, support ticket, or formal review. A single Douyin video can contain objections, product feedback, questions, content ideas, and repeated phrases that are valuable for research. The problem is that manually copying comments is slow, nested replies are easy to lose, and one-off scraping scripts are difficult for non-technical users to operate reliably.

ExportDou provides a direct workflow. A user pastes a public Douyin video link or the complete share text copied from the app. The product resolves the video, shows the video and comment context, and lets the user confirm that the right content has been found before starting an export. There is no requirement to install a browser extension, provide Douyin cookies, or sign in to a Douyin account.

How the export workflow works

After the preview is ready, the user chooses the desired number of rows, decides whether comment replies should be included, and selects CSV or Excel. The export runs as a durable background job rather than a long browser request. Progress remains available after refresh, the job can be cancelled, and completed files can be downloaded through private, short-lived links.

The exported data is normalized for analysis. It includes comment text, platform comment identifiers, timestamps, likes, author information when publicly available, parent and root relationships for replies, and video metadata. Emojis and line breaks are preserved. This makes the result suitable for spreadsheets, BI tools, scripts, qualitative coding, or downstream language-model analysis.

ExportDou also provides a result preview in the product interface. That matters because users can inspect representative rows and confirm the shape of the final output before downloading a larger file. First-level comments and replies remain distinguishable instead of being flattened into an ambiguous block of text.

Pricing and credit settlement

New accounts receive 100 comment credits for a free trial. Paid plans currently start at ¥19 per month for 30,000 rows, with higher plans offering 90,000 and 200,000 rows. Credits are settled against comments and replies that are actually exported. The system reserves enough balance before a job starts, then reconciles the final charge against the successful result. Definitive failures release the reserved credits instead of charging for an unusable file.

Developer and agent support

ExportDou is not limited to the browser interface. A Chinese developer center documents the public API, authentication, job creation, progress checks, previews, and downloads. An OpenAPI specification and public Postman collection make the endpoints easier to test. A CLI supports terminal and automation workflows, while an Agent Skill lets compatible coding and research agents create exports and retrieve structured results.

This combination is useful for repeatable research. An internal workflow can submit a Douyin link, wait for the durable job to finish, download the result, and then run topic clustering, sentiment analysis, or reporting without a person repeatedly operating the website.

Privacy, scope, and limitations

ExportDou only processes public Douyin video links intentionally submitted by the user. It is not affiliated with Douyin and does not claim access to private content. Result files are private and delivered through short-lived signed URLs. The product also minimizes retention and is designed to remove stored comment data and generated files automatically after the configured retention period.

The service depends on public data being available upstream. Deleted, private, region-restricted, or otherwise unavailable videos may not be exportable. Public platforms can also change their behavior, so ExportDou treats jobs as resumable and idempotent, stores pagination checkpoints, deduplicates repeated rows, and retries only errors that are likely to recover.

Who should consider ExportDou

The product is a good fit for teams that regularly inspect Douyin comments and need a clean handoff into Excel or an automated analysis pipeline.
